Whether you are leading a high-potential project or you are knowing one: this article is for you!

Introduction: Why this questionnaire?

We created an application form to better understand the ambition and the motivations of projects’ founders.

The form will be used during all phases of the selection process (Screening, Community Voting System, and Due Diligence). The answers will also help us assess the level of support and acceleration the project will need before the funding.

👉 It’s crucial to fill it out properly and thoroughly. Form completion will take approximately one hour and we recommend a diligent preparation of the questions below.

Please note that a slide deck will be asked.

As the questions are quite specific, the questionnaire should be completed by a project leader.

If you just know about a project but you’re not one of the founders:

Ask them directly to fill out the form (most effective solution)
Post their project on our Discord in the channel #submit-project!

What does this questionnaire look like?

Please note that this form is intended to be generic and some questions may not be fully relevant to your project. This is not a disqualifier. We want to leave room for all types of projects to express themselves!

1️⃣. Global View of your project : Pain point & Solution

Select up to two themes in which the project will have an impact in priority. (Multiple Choices : Water/ Air/ Food/ Ecosystems/ Finance/ Education/ Health)
Define the pain point(s) you are tackling down and the link with the theme(s) selected.
Explain your value proposition: the output you are proposing. (max 400 char)
What’s new about your solution? What do you aim at making that doesn’t exist in your ecosystem?
Do you know how blockchain technology can be an enabler for solving this problem? (not mandatory)

2️⃣. Targeted Impact

👉 We want to address environmental and social impact using a science-based approach, therefore we need to assess here what “impact” the project will have and how. Please note that transparency and clarity are vital for us.

What is your long-term vision in terms of impact? Could you explicit the links with the key goal.s you selected
Describe the “positive” impact of your project on the theme(s) selected earlier (all the advantages, improvements it brings) Please also explicit the indicators you are using to measure it.
Does your project have potential negative externalities? Could you estimate them? Please explicit it
Could you estimate the potential size of your project’s impact? (in terms of final users or/and people directly impacted by your solution)

3️⃣. Team

Who are you?
How did you meet? (max 400 char)
What is the role sharing within the team? (max 400 char)
What is the level of knowledge in blockchain in your team? If none, do you plan to create specific roles for this purpose? (max 400 char)
Where are you located? Is it the same country where you want to launch your project? (max 400 char)
Tell us in a few sentences, for each founder, about one achievement (personal or professional) you are particularly proud of (other than this project).
Have you experienced a position of leadership of any kind (work, associative, academic, sport, etc) in the past? What did you learn from it? (max 1500 char)
If the Cardashift community funds you, will you commit to work exclusively on this project? (max 200 char)
Are any of your founders covered by noncompetes or intellectual property agreements that overlap with your project?

4️⃣. Market

👉 To assess the business potential of the project itself

What is your targeted market?
How do you intend to address it to create value out of it?
Who are your competitors in this market, and who might become competitors? How can you differentiate yourself?

5️⃣. Roadmap

Describe your roadmap with your KPIs & milestones in terms of revenues & impact (objective, timeframe)
According to you, what are the milestones of your roadmap or the impact objectives that are the most uncertain? Why?

6️⃣. Advancement

How advanced is your project? Is your project launched? If so, how many users does it have? Do you have revenue yet? If so, how much? If it’s launched, what is your monthly growth rate (in users or revenue or both)?
Is your project already tokenized ? (Multiple Choice)
If yes, Can you share any info about your Tokenomics or Token with us?
Have you already been throughout an incubator/accelerator program? Are you still engaged with them?
Have you ever raised funds? (Multiple Choice) If yes, How much did you raise? Who from and at what valuation?
How much would you like to raise and when?

Last things to know before taking the leap

⚠️ Don’t worry, we don’t look for perfectly-defined projects. We will focus our analysis on the intention of impact, the credibility of the solution as well as the team potential and the alignment with our vision.🤝

After completing this questionnaire, we will review your application and come back to you. This may take some time especially for this first cohort of projects on our launchpad. Don’t worry, everything will be taken care of.
